e-design overview:

E-Design is really just a “fancier” term for Online or Virtual Interior Design. The entire process is done online which allows for convenience, affordable prices, faster turn around times & 100% client satisfaction. Utilizing E-Design can avoid having to spend thousands of dollars on an “in-person” hourly Interior Designer & their hefty markups on items. Upon the completion of a Design Questionnaire, along with uploading a few measurements & photos your space- you can have a space designed exactly to your liking- both quickly and for an affordable price!

Online Design with Porche & Co. is still a true collaboration between a designer and client- we will communicate via email or chat throughout the process. When necessary, we will pick up the phone and chat! With Porche & Co., there are NO hidden fees or markups (like some of the “big box” E-design services) and unlimited revisions (within a specified period after design delivery) are included in the original package price. All communication is either done by email or chat on the design platform, which allows you to maintain flexibility in your schedule (no scheduling or waiting around for an in-person designer)

When your design is completed, you will have a space filled with items you love from well-known online retailers for a quick and easy shopping experience- all within your budget, on your timeline and the best part- NO markups or hidden fees :)

We termed our go-to intrinsic cultivated design style over here at Porche & Co. as ‘Modern Classic’.

MODERN CLASSIC :: Retaining a classic simplicity in decor and furnishings while creating modern interest and function through balancing various textures, clean lines & neutral tones. We lean towards clean and bright 'minimalism', while ensuring function and cohesiveness throughout the space.

we do ask that our clients are familiar with our work and design style before purchasing a package to ensure that we are a great fit!

⌂ HOW DO I KNOW WHAT PACKAGE IS RIGHT FOR ME?

We offer Three Packages (described below) that can typically meet any and all of your home design needs.

3D Room Design Package:: This package is great to really visualize the space and get a feel for what all of the items within a full room design will look like in your “exact” space. This ensure almost 100% satisfaction that you will love the final design once it is brought to life. If you are wanting to keep a lot of your existing pieces in the space, this package is likely not for you. This is a great option if you are looking for a comprehensive new design within your space.

2D Vision Board Package:: This package is slightly more affordable and contains all aspects of the 3D Room Design Package but is not 3D. This is a “vision” board that places all pieces of the design together (along with explanations) to ensure cohesiveness and functionality. This is a great option if you are not needing to visualize the space in 3D but are wanting to see all aspects of a room together in one place. If you are wanting to incorporate many of your existing pieces into the design, this is also the package for you!

*Mini* 2D Vision Board Package:: This package is for you if you only need help with one particular part of a space or limited components of a room. For example, styling a bookshelf, pillow section, finishing selection, wall art, etc. This is not the package for you if you are wanting a comprehensive room design (even if you are keeping current items in your space)…for this, please purchase the 2D Vision Board package. If you are unsure whether you need the Full or Mini 2D Vision Board packages, please email Emily (Emily@PorcheandCo.com) and I will let you know the right package for your needs.

**Please Note- All Packages are sold on a per Room/Space basis (there are discounts for purchasing multiple Rooms/Spaces).

i am building a house! HOW DOES that work with PORCHE & CO.’s virtual design services?

WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE WORKING WITH NEW BUILD homes AND feel THAT VIRTUAL DESIGN WITH US IS A GREAT OPTION TO TAKE A LOT OF THE STRESS OFF OF YOU DURING THE PROCESS. We recommend securing the design packages as soon as you KNOW WHICH SPACES YOU WOULD LIKE OUR HELP IN. WE CAN DESIGN IN phases depending on your BUILD timeline and where you are at in the process! FOR EXAMPLE, IF YOU OWE YOUR BUILDER FINISHING SELECTIONS BY CERTAIN DATEs, WE WILL START THERE BEFORE WE BEGIN THE DESIGN SELECTIONS. WE WILL BUILD UPON THE FINISHES WE SELECTED TO ENSURE COHESIVE DESIGNS THROUGHOUT EVERY ROOM IN YOUR HOME.

We still price per room/space for full house packages but WE do offer multiple space discounts (take10 for 10% off 3+ spaces and take15 for 15% off 6+ spaces).

We are happy to jump in on the finishes for any spaces we are designing as soon as you are needing to get those decisions to your contractor, but we do recommend waiting to begin the furnishing/decor design phase until you are ready to start ordering due to items going out of stock quite frequently to avoid resourcing fees. you will also want to ensure that you have a place to store items as they come in- whether this is your current home, new home or a storage unit.

we make the design process so easy for our clients so they can enjoy the building process (believe me- we’ve been there and know how stressful it can be) knowing that they will have a home full of well-designed spaces they will love for years to come and are excited to move their family into at the end of the building process.

**pLEASE NOTE, WE DO NOT DO 3D DESIGNS FOR HOUSES UNDER CONSTRUCTION so you will need to purchase 2d vision boards**

i have an open floor plan main concept, how many packages do i need?

WE love designing open floor plans! this allows us to ensure cohesiveness throughout each space. you will need to purchase a package for each room within your open concept layout that you’d like us to design. we recommend our 2d vision boards. 3ds are possible as well but will only show the individual space that it was purchased for. our designers will ensure cohesiveness throughout each space no matter what package is purchased.

HOW DOES PORCHE & CO. COMPARE TO SOME OF THE LARGER “BIG-BOX” ONLINE DESIGN SERVICES (EX. MODSY, HAVENLY, ETC)

This is one of my favorite questions with an easy answer- Porche & Co. combines affordability with intense personalization. Built into our affordable package pricing, we provide unlimited revisions, consistent communication & NO hidden fees.

Some of the bigger online design services have loads of hidden fees (ex- required upgrades further into the process, fees to utilize any of your existing pieces within the design, charges for revisions, replacing originally suggested items, etc). Users walk away from these companies with designs they don’t love and never end up implementing- hence LOTS of wasted $$.

Another huge differentiation is that most of our clients already know and love our Modern Classic design style and can feel confident in knowing they will love the designs we generate.

HOW DO WE COMMUNICATE DURING THE DESIGN PROCESS?

Standard Client communication takes place digitally via your custom design board portals. Scheduled phone calls can be reserved with your designer if needed as well. Our typical design hours are Monday through Friday between the hours of 10am and 5pm EST. Because we value our clients’ personal time as well as our own rest and family time, we typically stay out of our inbox and the design portal on the evenings and weekends.

HOW DO I COMPLETE THE DESIGN QUESTIONNAIRE? WHAT DOES IT INCLUDE?

Immediately after you purchase a package you will be prompted to complete the Questionnaire OR you can come back and complete it whenever you are ready :) On the Questionnaire, you will input the measurements & photos of each wall (don’t worry we give instructions to make this part as easy as possible!)

You will then answer a few questions about the space including any items you would like to stay in your room, any new items you already have in mind and would like to see in the design, your design timeline, favorite online stores and budget range. You will then select from pictures of various design styles that you are drawn to for the space. You will also have the opportunity to link any Pinterest boards or photos that we can use for inspiration.

If you forget to complete the Questionnaire after purchase, not to worry! We will email you the link asking you to compete it before we can begin your design.

HOW DO I KNOW I WILL BE HAPPY WITH THE DESIGN?

We stand behind my 100% happiness guarantee so much so that we will revise every part of the room/space until you are completely happy and ready to purchase the items! We are happy to make unlimited revisions for you within 5 business days of receiving your design (2 days for a mini package). Because of this revision policy, we do not offer refunds once the design phase has been started.

There is not a limit to revisions with Porche & Co (unlike most of these “big box” design platforms) as long as they are completed within the allotted revision time frame, so you are guaranteed to be completely in happy with the finished space. After the first design draft is submitted, you will go through and “Approve” items you love and “Reject” items you do not love. You are able to easily leave comments on items (this is encouraged if you “Reject” an item) and we also will have a chat section for ease of communication between us throughout the entire process. This process ensures that you will ultimately have a room/space that you love everything about!

WHAT IF I BUY ONE PACKAGE AND THEN DURING THE PROCESS DECIDE I WANT TO UPGRADE?

This could definitely happen as the space and design process evolves. Maybe you originally thought you needed some advice to complete a room as a *Mini* 2D Vision Board and during the design process subsequent needs arise thus making it more of a 2D Vision Board allowing for a more comprehensive room design.

If an upgrade is needed, we can invoice for the amount of the pricing difference between the packages.

WHAT ARE YOUR TURN AROUND TIMES?

These can vary depending on our client load, but typically you will receive your first design draft of the space within about 2-4 weeks from purchase. We try to keep our turn around times updated on the package descriptions upon purchasing. once we get started, the process moves very quickly.

We have a lot of clients that secure their design package spot, but are not begin the design process for a few weeks/months. This is completely fine- We always say, YOUR timeline is OUR timeline :) You will let us know your timeline within the Design Questionnaire!

HOW DO YOU KEEP YOUR PACKAGE PRICES FOR CLIENTS AFFORDABLE?

One of the great benefits of Porche & Co. is that we are able to keep our package prices affordable for clients. Additionally, you will never pay a markup on any decor or furniture items purchased from the design (which is typical with in-person designers).

We are able to offer affordable services as we do make a small commission (at absolutely ZERO cost to you) on some of the items purchased within the designs. We incorporate direct shoppable links (don’t worry, it’s the the same old online shopping that you are used to!) within the designs and do ask that you use these links to purchase your items. These links simply allow the commissions to be tracked- it is as simple and easy as that :)

Due to our specialized virtual design model, we do not offer or utilize any trade discounts. Our clients pay retail prices and we are able to keep our package prices very affordable. We pride ourselves in bringing a professional level of Interior Design into our client’s homes at a very affordable price.

⌂ CAN YOU WORK WITHIN ANY BUDGET?

We often receive a range of budgets from our clients and will keep your budget in mind when designing. You will input your budget on the Client Design Questionnaire and we will do our best to stay close to the budget range specified. However, we recommend a budget of at least $10,000 when designing a full room to ensure that we are able to make the best design recommendations for your space. A comfortable budget for an entire room design (inclusive of all furniture and decor pieces) is $10,000-$20,000. At Porche & Co. when designing an entire space we include it all- wall decor, all furniture pieces you’ll need, lighting, tabletop decor etc. For this reason we recommend a budget that can be inclusive of every aspect of the space to ensure cohesiveness of the design.

If you do select a lower budget range, we will do our best to keep this in mind while designing but may go slightly over to ensure quality products in your designs.

WHAT KIND OF ONLINE BRANDS DO YOU SOURCE FROM?

Coinciding with our Modern Classic design style (along with the wonderful quality and policies of these brands) some of most frequently used brands are:: Pottery Barn, McGee & Co, Serena and Lily, Crate & Barrel, Arhaus, rejuvenation, Shoppe Amber Interiors, Anthropologie, Burke Decor, Lulu & Georgia, West Elm, and One Kings Lane. *Please note that we source outside of the items on our website shop pages, but these are a good reference to get an idea of items that fall under our modern classic design aesthetic.

WHAT IF ITEMS GO OUT OF STOCK AFTER I RECEIVE MY DESIGN?

We do our best to ensure that all items within your design are in-stock at the time of the design presentation. Due to the nature of online shopping, there is a sell out risk of items. We highly encourage client’s to purchase items they love immediately after finalizing a design. We hate seeing client’s love a piece and then it goes out of stock :( After the 5 business day revision period post design presentation, we charge a $50/item resourcing fee if an item is out-of-stock and needs to be replaced in your design.

⌂ WHAT IF I AM NOT HAPPY WITH AN ITEM ONCE I RECEIVE IT IN PERSON?

With any type of online purchases, there is always a chance that an item could look different in pictures online or on the design board than it does in real life. Also sometimes (but it is rare) an online item has inaccurate measurements. All items within your design will be from well-known online retailers that allow & facilitate easy returns. Please don’t fret if an item does not work in your space when you receive it, we will help you navigate a replacement! We do our best to avoid any returns, but sometimes they are necessary! If you are not happy with an item(s) when things start arriving, please reach out to your designer and let them know so they can help you with a replacement(s) :)

CAN I KEEP SOME OF THE CURRENT FURNITURE ALREADY IN MY ROOM?

Of course! Some online design services will charge you to create mock-ups of any current pieces that you want to keep in the space- not Porche & Co. :)

We are happy to work any current items into the design, but do ask for a link to the item online or a good photo of it so we can easily incorporate it into the design. You will let us know which existing pieces you’d like to keep on the Client Design Questionnaire that you will complete after purchase.

do you accept phone calls with the designers?

phone calls are not included in our virtual design pricing. wE HAVE DEVELOPED OUR ONLINE PROCESS SO IT IS VERY EFFICIENT FOR OUR CLIENTS AND ALL ENCOMPASSING. OUR DESIGNERS AND CLIENTS CAN COMMUNICATE THROUGH THE CHAT FEATURE WITHIN THEIR PROJECT. IF A CLIENT WOULD LIKE A PHONE CALL, THE DESIGNER CAN SEND OVER PRICING AND IS HAPPY TO ADD-ON THIS SERVICE TO ACCOMMODATE WITHIN THE DESIGN PROCESS.

HOW DOES SELECTING PAINT COLORS WORK WITH VIRTUAL DESIGN?

We will recommend various paint and stain options for your spaces if this is needed for your home. We ALWAYS recommend TESTING colors and obtaining SAMPLES of paint that is recommended. We are adamant that our clients need to sample before making the final selection because every space and computer screen shows color differently. It is important to test paint colors at different times of day and in various areas of the space being painted. If you are updating your floor finish as well, you will want to test paint samples alongside the new flooring as well.

WILL YOUR 3D REPLICA OF MY ROOM BE EXACT? CAN I SEE IT FROM MULTIPLE ANGLES?

We do our best to make it as close as possible to your real space. Your photos and measurements are what allow us to create the most exact replica of the room :) The 3D image may be missing some smaller room details such as moulding details, air vents, door knobs, etc but we do our best to bring your room to life as close as possible. It will definitely be realistic enough to give you an idea of how the design will look in your room.

We provide one view of your space within our 3D packages. We pick the angle that has the most encompassing view of your space. If another angle is needed to show an area designed in your space that is not pictured, a subsequent mood board or 3D image of that one area will also be included. The needs vary on a room by room basis.

HOW DO I BEST MEASURE MY ROOM/SPACE?

We suggest following our handy Measurement Guide and emailing the completed measurements over to us (Emily@PorcheandCo.com).

Please note, if we are creating a 3D design for you, more exact measurements are needed to create your space in 3D so we will require utilizing the Measurement Guide for these package :)

ARE THERE ANY ROOMS YOU DO NOT DESIGN?

We do not offer 3D Room Designs of kitchens or bathrooms due to these spaces requiring the work of numerous professionals such as plumbers, cabinet makers, etc. we can give you a great design and visual of these spaces with our 2D Vision Board package :)
