Our Spooky Spider Halloween Farmhouse

This is the first year in our new house that we have been able to slow down and decorate for Halloween. Our neighbors go all out so our kids have been begging us to do something fun with our own house. We decided that with the white siding, huge black spiders would be the perfect addition!

We ordered all of the spiders from Amazon in various sizes. Here is the link to the biggest 6ft ones. The medium ones are 5ft which you can get here. Then we ordered a big 18ft web which came with a smaller spider (that my youngest daughter claimed as her baby!)

My husband hung the spiders with nails. He used two per spider and wrapped the end of their legs around them. If there was something else around the spiders like a shutter or gutter he would use those to wrap the legs around too. If you have a brick house, I have also heard that command strips work well and you just stick their feet onto them!

The hardest part about the process was taking them out of the package and molding their legs to look like spiders- this probably took about 30 minutes for all 9 spiders.

On the porch we kept it simple and did bright orange pumpkins this year and hung some fun Pottery Barn iron silhouette crows but unfortunately is looks like they are discontinued (which is sad because I LOVE them). I saw some on EBay this weekend-if you can get your hands on some- you’ll love them!!

I am not a huge Halloween decorator, but I’m super happy with our easy outdoor decorations this year! If you do the same, I’d love to see your Spider Halloween House…tag @ThePorchePlace to show me!!
